Hi, I'm Wilson Touchet from St. Martin Parish, raised in Cypress Island and Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. I graduated from Breaux Bridge High in 1961. I served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1967. I lived in New Orleans area since 1967. I retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in June 2007. I have finally returned home to St. Martinville, La. in April 2008 & love it. Breaux Bridge never recognized my Cajun band; La Touché Cajun Band , needless to say, that is disappointing, especially after traveling 3 years in Scotland, Wisconsin, Minnesota & other states, and have a CD in Europe, but I consider that their loss and shows how much they care about their own. I have performed at Mulates Cajun Restaurant in New Orleans, La. for 18 years. I plan to continue playing there for awhile yet. I was married for 25 years, and now divorced and have one girl & one boy. They reside in another state. I now live alone, semi retired & play Cajun music, part time. When I no longer play music, I will consider myself fully retired.
